Use our Boston butt roast to make a truly exceptional pulled pork sandwich. 

Boston butt is a bone-in pork roast cut from the shoulder of the hog. The butt is the upper half of the shoulder and consists of heavily marbled meat, connective tissue, and rich fat. Our woodland raised pork gets a lot of exercise which leads to extra flavorful meat.

Since the shoulder is a heavily used muscle, this cut needs to be cooked low and slow in order to melt the fat and connective tissue and tenderize the meat. Cook in the smoker, bake in the oven, or braise in a slow cooker or Instant Pot until the meat has an internal temperature of over 195 degrees. Then shred the meat and use it to make pulled pork sandwiches, Italian pork subs, or an excellent pasta bake. 

Each Harris Homeplace Farm pork Boston butt weighs just under three pounds which is enough meat to feed 4-6 people.
